The past few months have been a whirlwind of activity for us! 📸
Our latest solar systems, part of the ASER300 project, were meticulously packed and prepared for containerization in our warehouse in Southern Germany. From there, they embarked on their voyage, being shipped from Hamburg to Dakar, Senegal. 🌍
Our dedicated team has been working tirelessly, ensuring that we fulfil our promise to deliver everything by year-end. But let’s be clear, it was not a simple feat. We faced real challenges.
Many of the roads, often no more than dirt tracks of sand and laterite, become a formidable obstacle course. Heavy rainfall could disrupt the transport network, at times blocking roads or sweeping them away entirely. Trucks found themselves stranded, sometimes for days, and, in certain instances, even weeks.
In addition to navigating through the rainy season and conquering the notorious « last mile », we faced an unexpected hurdle. The Dakar harbour, a crucial gateway to Senegal, had been facing significant blockages, causing further delays. 🚧
So we wanted today to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been working with us on this project so far and who helped us through the past weeks, from our dedicated partners to the resilient local communities.
Your support and unwavering commitment have been indispensable in overcoming these challenges. 🤝 Together, we are making strides in rural electrification, advancing the cause of sustainable energy, and working towards the SDG7. 🌞
